Cable blunder means Superbowl coverage blows
Testosterone-fulled Cardinals fans in Tucson, Arizona probably thought they’d seen the ultimate climax as Larry Fitzgerald scored an apparent game-winning touchdown with less than three minutes to go. But they were in for two big surprises.
Immediately following the big score, viewers of KVOA-TV saw their screens filled with an unconventional celebration. In the words of the BBC, “The clip showed a woman unzipping a man’s trousers, followed by a graphic act between the two.” There’s no word on whether there was any unnecessary roughness.
The clip was only seen by viewers who received the broadcast through Comcast cable; it didn’t appear on the feed seen by over-the-air viewers. KVOA staff have assured viewers that the NBC feed of the game was, well, clean when it left their offices. Comcast is investigating the incident, which only affected the standard definition feed, disproving the claim that you can always see even more in HD.
The footage lasted between 10 and 30 seconds depending on which source you believe. Presumably the disparity depends on whether or not the lady in question had meant to make a forward movement or if the clock should have stopped as soon as she fumbled.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that the offending material came from the Club Jenna channel run by porn superstar Jenna Jameson. Some online research which will later have to be explained to my wife reveals the footage will have come from the 2008 title ’18 n Up Wet Poons’.
While incidents such as this have taken place before, there was one notable difference. Whereas cable companies always report complaints after such material appears on screen, this seems to be the first time there are no reports of complaints after the adult content was switched off.
Oh, and the second big surprise? Fitzgerald’s explosive charge proved not to be the winner thanks to a last-minute Pittsburgh Steelers score. Seems it was a night of anti-climaxes in Arizona.

Extremely interesting article post. Your article is very interesting. I enjoyed this article. This article is terrific! I have to say that after continually reading awful as in, same old information, little quality content, etc. blog posts on other sites, it’s nice to actually read something that has some thought put into it. It’s a pleasure to read good blog posts, especially after continually seeing rehashed %$!# that writers and bloggers are throwing out nowadays. It’s always nice when I come across content that actually has value, I’ve been seeing a ton of subpar writing attempts recently. Anyways, thanks again and I’ll check back frequently to see what else you have to offer. I’ll check back in the future to see what else you have up your sleeve. Keep up the excellent work! BTW, I like your site design, but your header image was only loading half way for me. P.S. Your header is messed up a bit in IE. The problem could be on my end but I thought you might want to look into that.
