Prince Charles talks to the Pope about climate change

By Susan Wilson

Prince Charles talks to the Pope about climate change Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, visited the Papal palace and had a little chat with the Pope.  Both Prince Charles and Pope Benedict XVI are environmental advocates.

According to the Telegraph, Prince Charles addressed the Italian Parliament on the topic of global warming.  Later he met with the Pope for 15 minutes during which they both exchanged presents and talked about global warming.

The Pope has regularly talked about the environment and the need for initiatives to combat global warming.  The Pope doesn’t just talk about the need to implement measures to stop our environmental decline, but he has actually taken action.  The pope had solar panels mounted on the Vatican.

Prince Charles in his statements before the Parliament called for a “Renaissance” of sustainable living. The Papal audience was the culmination of a two day Italian tour by the Prince and Duchess to promote environmental reforms.

The Prince, like the Pope, takes improving the environment seriously.  His Scottish home Balmoral has also become home to the red squirrel, an endangered species.  He has started the Red Squirrel Survival Trust to ensure their continued existence.  He equated the plight of the Red Squirrel to the plight of the honey bee.  As he said:

The plight of the red squirrel and the honey bee is an example of man’s short-sightedness in an increasingly throw away society and as stewards of this earth we should all feel deeply ashamed.

The Prince warned the Italian Parliament and the Pope that without taking proper measures now to stop global warming, the world that would be left would not be worth much.  His exact words were:

Do we want our children and grandchildren to … see this as the time we allowed a new Dark Age to sprawl across our future?

Both the Pope and the Prince believe that we must take steps now to stop global warming and conserve our world and its species for the generations to come.  They have not only “preached” that message but have also taken steps towards that goal.

Catholics should know that Pope Benedict, like all of us, wants to protect the environment, but he has spoken against the global warming hoax, which is now threatening us more than any global warming. “Fears over man-made emissions melting the ice caps and causing a wave of unprecedented disasters were nothing more than scare-mongering,” he said. “It is important for assessments in this regard to be carried out prudently, in dialogue with experts and people of wisdom, uninhibited by ideological pressure to draw hasty conclusions.” http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-501316/The-Pope-condemns-climate-change-prophets-doom.html

Using the global warming hoax, Obama plans to impose Cap and Trade, which “would be the equivalent of an atomic bomb directed at the U.S. economy—all without any scientific justification,” says internationally famed climatologist Dr. S. Fred Singer. Cap and Trade will increase taxes; increase the cost of energy; force many companies to close; and multiply unemployment, poverty and despair. As Catholics, we must fight the global warming/Cap-and-Trade scam that is threatening our future and the future of our children.

When Prince Charles met with the Pope he should have asked him about God’s laws on marriage, divorce and remarriage.

      Divorce + Remarriage = Adultery
