Remix YouTube videos with Yooouuutuuube
Exhausted from spending time with Mom this weekend and need a little entertainment? Check out YooouuuTuuube.com, a new YouTube video remixer that allows you to watch every frame of a video on YouTube simultaneously.
The way YooouuuTuuube works is pretty simple. You enter the URL or video ID for your favorite video on YouTube, decide how big you want the frames to be on the page, whether you want the video to start zoomed in, and whether or not you want the frames to be shuffled as they play. Once you’ve made all those selections you click the button appropriately marked “DO THIS” and prepare to be amazed as the site displays each individual frame of video as it comes up in the video.
While the idea behind the site is pretty simple, that doesn’t take away from how fun some of these videos are to watch. Here are a few of my favorites from trying it out today.
- Gorillaz 19-2000 (Soulchild Remix)
- Michael Jackson’s music video for Billie Jean
- “Rap Chop” featuring Vince (the Sham Wow! guy)
From playing around with it I think starting your videos zoomed in is definitely the ticket. Zoomed out you get to see each frame of the video show up, but it isn’t nearly as interesting (at least in my opinion) as watching just a few frames change at a time.

The same thing can really be said for the “Shuffle” function. With shuffle the frames show up randomly around the screen so they don’t look like they’re in motion the same way as without the shuffle function on. While it is an interesting feature it really doesn’t do it for me.
Do any of you create your own YouTube remixes? What are your favorite sites to use? Feel free to post any interesting videos you create using Yooouuutuuube in the comments below!
