Home security monitoring made affordable with new network cameras

Ever wished you could take a peek into your house while you were away? With two new cameras from D-Link, it has never been easier, nor more affordable.
We’ve all heard stories of people setting up cameras so they could check in on what was going on in their home when they are at work or away on vacation. If you’re like most people, you’ve probably thought this was either too expensive, or you simply didn’t have the technological savvy to set it up. Luckily D-Link has just launched two new cameras that answer both of those problems.
The two new cameras are exactly the same except for one, the DCS-1100, being connected to your home or office network by wires, and the other, the DCS-1130, being able to use Wi-Fi all the way up to 802.11n. Beyond the method by which they connect to your network, both cameras feature 16x digital zoom, ability to set up monitoring via your 3G enabled phone, motion detection, integrated microphone and multiple profiles.
If you wish to only monitor the cameras via the Web, you can do so by setting up a free account at mydlink.com. You simply open an account there, enter the unique identification codes on your cameras and then you can check in with the Web site at any time to see what is happening in the location where you’ve set them up. The only drawback to the Web site is that it currently only works with Internet Explorer, and there is no word if D-Link will support other browsers later on.
While these are certainly some of the most affordable cameras for this type of functionality, they still aren’t cheap. The wired DCS-1100 has a suggested retail price (SRP) of $179, and is available now. The Wi-Fi enabled DCS-1130 is expected to ship by the end of the month and will have a SRP of $219.

There are companies also that specialize in replacing and repairing vehicle locks, emergency vehicle openings, and ignition changes. You probably need their help later on.
