Firefox is taking over and is gonna be #1 soon. The only reason why Internet Explorer is #1 now is because Microsoft has a monopoly with Windows add-on. I have installed Firefox on my entire families PC i erase IE for good. I have a Sony VAIO with Firefox running perfectly gotta love 8 GIGS RAM. 2.80ghz 1TB HDD plus Blu-ray Disc when i use Internet Explorer it crashers most of the time for no reason what so ever.

People preferring Firefox over IE isn’t going to hurt Microsoft. Its not like MSFT makes any money from IE.

I too prefer Firefox over IE, and been using FF for a long time. I do have occasional crashes with FF, but I feel safer using it than IE.

Microsoft has been cautious about improving the bundled software precisely because of asshat grandstanding gestures like the EU made.

There is little to support the premise of IE bundling having much of an impact under current market conditions with respect to browser adoption. People who understand what a browser is have no problem installing non-Microsoft ones in Windows. People who don’t and choose Chrome are going to be irritated.
