How to lose weight – Tweet What You Eat is Twitter diet
As anyone who has ever tried to lose weight will know, it’s not the easiest thing in the world, no matter how much drive and willpower one possesses. Sometimes something else is required, be it a new way of eating such as The Atkins Diet or an innovative use of technology. Tweet What You Eat does exactly that by utilizing Twitter to help people lose weight effectively.
There are literally thousands of different diets and methods of losing weight out there. There are experts on the subject, shelves worth of books, and tricks and tips by the bucketload that are meant to help you lose weight. Many of these simply don’t work because they are a fad and it essentially all comes back to eating less, eating better, and exercising more.
However, other things that can definitely help are peer pressure and keeping a food diary. These two simple but very effective ways of losing weight are combined by Tweet What You Eat, a diet that uses Twitter in the most simple way. Yet, by virtue of many converts, a very effective way.
Tweet What You Eat is essentially an online food diary that sees you inputting what you eat into Twitter. This enables you to easily keep track of what you’re eating and how many calories you’re consuming, but crucially, it also enables your followers to do the same. And there’s really no substitute for being shamed into keeping on the straight and narrow when dieting.
There are, obviously, some ways to cheat this system. Not tweeting about every meal for starters (excuse the pun), especially that late-night takeaway after a particularly hard day at work. But for those committed to losing weight and not afraid of potentially failing and losing face in the process this is a great diet that combines technology with some tried and trusted weight loss methods.
As someone who has tried and failed on countless diets in the past, I’m tempted to use Tweet What You Eat. The only concern I have is that seeing the crap I eat on a daily basis written down in tweets with their calorific value beside each one may make me violently sick. Then again, maybe that wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

A good addition to this is a very good program I have been using, Food And Exercise Diary (WeightLossSoftware.Com). It is a food diary, medical diary, and exercise diary. Lots of functions.
