Verizon to offer cell phone service with home produts packages
By Sean P. Aune
It appears that Verizon is taking a bold step in trying to be your one-stop solution for all of your communication needs.
Up until now, Verizon has been offering packages that gave you cable, Internet and home phone service, but now they are offering subscriptions that also include wireless service from the second biggest cellular service provider in the country.
The new packages, called “Quad-Play” will now also include cellular service on the Verizon network, and the company is offering several different packages that should meet most home budgets out there. According to Bloombergs, the packages will be $134.99 to include the FiOS broadband service, $124.99 for customers on the older networks and $114.99 for those users that don’t mind slower service. According to Verizon, the average customer will save between $59 to $179 per year with these new bundles over getting the services separately.
“Consumers want the best communication and entertainment,” said Mike Ritter, Verizon chief marketing officer for consumer wireline and business services. “These plans let consumers get it all by offering the ultimate voice, entertainment and online experiences at home and on the go, combining all of our powerful services with maximum convenience and measurable savings.”
New customers who sign up by Jan. 16, 2010 for triple-play or quad-play packages the include Internet and TV as two of their choices will receive a $150 prepaid Visa card. New customers who subscribe to quad-play or triple-play bundles that include Verizon Freedom Essentials, Verizon HSI with an up-to-3 Mbps or 7 Mbps (megabits per second) speed, and DIRECTV service will receive three months of free High-Speed Internet service.
Currently these plans are limited to Verizon customers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets of the United States.
Depending on the data, texting and calling plans for the cellular service, this could end up being quite the deal for Verizon customers. Too bad it is nowhere near my neck of the woods in Missouri!

Perhaps a bit of research you would have found that Verizon Wireless is the largest, not second largest.
