New Apple iPhone app translates why the baby is crying
By Mike Ferro
Taking care of a baby can be difficult, especially when you have no idea why the baby is crying. It seems like someone has gone through great lengths to remedy this problem by developing a handy new app for the iPhone. Apparently, this new app will be able to translate your baby’s cries and also offers a remedy.
The idea sounds fantastic as anyone who has had to take care of a baby would know that one of the biggest challenges is figuring out how to stop the crying. No longer will you have to wonder if your baby is hungry, or if you need to change the diaper. This new application was developed based on a study has been recently released out onto the Apple App Store and allegedly translates your baby’s distinct cries.
According to CNET, the app promises to identify the “five distinct cries” made by babies. It sounds like a novel idea, but apparently the application was developed after some research was done in Spain. According to the study, there was a 96 percent success rate after the given remedy was applied to the crying baby.
The application will tell you if the baby needs: food, diaper change, toys, sleep, or a pacifier. It’s not clear if the application actually works as promised but the concept is intriguing. It is also interesting that according to the study the success rate is so high. Could it be that the application actually works or that most babies are just satisfied with whatever you give them?
The application is currently going for $9.99 on the Apple App Store, which can be downloaded for the iPhone. The application also has other features that can help parents take care of their babies, such as a place to put emergency contact information such as a doctor’s number. It will be interesting to see some of the feedbacks for the application online.

I’m sure we will be discussing this app in our Mom’s club this week. Another good app for Moms is NeuroMobile.
