Walmart launches iPhone app for holiday shopping

By Sean P. Aune

Walmart launches iPhone app for holiday shoppingJust in time for the holiday shopping season, Walmart has launched an iPhone and iPod Touch app to help you with your holiday gift shopping.

The Walmart app (iTunes link) will help you locate the closest store, give you directions and also help you shop.

For the time being, the app is limited to shopping for electronics, but inside of that it has some pretty nifty features.  Not only will it let you browse and bookmark electronics that interest you, but it can also help you pick the one that best suits your needs.  For instance, you can take a picture of the area where you plan on placing a TV, drag borders to the amount of size you would like it to take up and the app will help you determine what size TV will best suit your needs.

As one would expect, the app is free, so you have nothing to lose by giving it a try.

      Hii..
Walmart is letting consumers en roll for the program by dialling WMT and hitting “Send” on the mobile phone. It is also encouraging consumers to add the Walmart.com icon to their iPhone home screen for easy navigation. I have read your blog and this is quite interesting blog. I recently came across your blog and have been reading along.
