The CrunchPad has officially been killed off
The much talked about CrunchPad from technology blog TechCrunch has officially been killed off according to the latest news.
Michael Arrington, the founder of TechCrunch, and the man who first envisioned the CrunchPad tablet computer, posted today that the project has come to a rather unceremonious ending.
According to his post, the device was actually due to debut on Nov. 20, but shortly before the unveiling he received an email from Fusion Garage, the company handling the production, that told him the company had decided to manufacture the device without TechCrunch’s involvement. The most the shareholders were wishing to concede was that Mr. Arrington could be included as an evangelist and visionary, but nothing else.
As the companies both share the copyrights, and neither is willing to budge, the project is now considered dead, meaning the CrunchPad will never be released in any form.
There is sure to be more information in the coming days, but in short, the CrunchPad will remain the thing of dreams for now. Our own Dave Parrack speculated earlier this month that this was coming in a post, it was pretty evident that something was not right in the land of the CrunchPad.

Funny Sean. Trying to give Parrack credit for an original thought. Funny.
