Apple’s Christmas: Macs and iPods top ‘Wished For’ and ‘Gifted’ lists on Amazon
I hope you were gifted everything you wished for this Christmas. It seems a lot of people both wished for and were gifted Apple products – leaving Apple laughing all the way to the bank this Christmas.
I’m not a big fan of Apple products, their pricing structure or the way they do business. But many are and aspire to own Apple products and join the elite. According to CNN Money, Apple has had a good 2009 holiday season, at least if Amazon sales are anything to go by.
Around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Apple products were topping the ‘Wished For’ lists on Amazon, but not the ‘Gifted’ lists. Fast-forward to Christmas morning and the discrepancy has disappeared.
Apple MacBooks top the Laptops list, iMacs top the Desktops list, and the Portable Audio list is awash with iPods and iPod accessories. No wonder then that Apple shares closed at an all-time high on Christmas Eve.
