Panasonic releasing Full HD 3D camcorder
Prepare to have your eyeballs assaulted by even more 3D content as Panasonic releases an “affordable” HD camcorder that shoots in 3D.
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is swimming in 3D products like televisions and Blu-ray players, but what about producing your own content? Panasonic has announced that it is releasing the Full HD 3D camera as a “professional” device with a price tag of $21,000 USD. While this is certainly no consumer line camera, it is considerably cheaper and less complicated than other options currently on the market.
The camera will be sold on a “built to order” basis, meaning that you won’t be able to walk into a store and pick one up, they instead will be built only as customers order them.
While this camera is currently out of the league of your average consumer, this type of product is usually what comes a few years before it reaches the mass market. YouTube in 3D any one?
