Woz picks the Nexus One over the iPhone
Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak has a stack of mobile devices including two iPhones and a Verizon Droid. However his favorite phone at the moment is none other than Google’s Nexus One.
Woz was a bit shy with reporters when asked about his preference in phones. He hinted, "Well, it’s the latest one. It’s a non-Apple product, but it’s a gadget that just came out yesterday.”
After all, Steve Wozniak is really savvy about mobile phones and well connected in that arena. He sat on the board of Sidekick-maker Danger, Inc which was Andy Rubin’s venture before joining Google to build Android.
That doesn’t mean that Woz won’t pick up the next iPhone version in a few months or that it couldn’t become his favorite. However, he is a big fan of open development environments and that could be the nail in the iPhone’s coffin in the competition with Google Android.
