Steve Jobs has fighting words for Google and Adobe
It would seem that Steve Jobs may be rallying the employees of Apple for an all out war in the coming months with Adobe and Google.
While some are questioning the health of Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, once again, one thing is abundantly clear: the man has not lost any of his fight. In the days following the announcement of the iPad, Steve Jobs held a town hall meeting for the employees of the Apple campus in Cupertino, California. According to an unnamed source that spoke to Wired, things got fairly heated when the subjects of Adobe and Google came up.
One of the biggest complaints you hear around the blogosphere when it comes to the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad is the lack of support for Adobe’s Flash technology. Mr. Jobs stated that more often than not, when a Mac crashes, it’s due to Flash. He considers the buggy nature of the application to be a sign of laziness from that company, and that is why he has no interest in supporting the technology on the devices. He also went on to state that he saw the future being directed more towards HTML5, which is intriguing since that is exactly how Google got Google Voice back on the iPhone via the browser.
On the subject of Google, it appears that Mr. Jobs got on a bit of a rant. He wanted to make it clear to his employees that Google entering the cell phone market was a clear deceleration of war on the iPhone. It is a fight he has no intentions of backing away from, and he plans on releasing updates for the iPhone through out the year that Google can’t keep up with. Even after someone had asked a question on another subject, Mr. Jobs returned to Google for a moment to add that the company’s famous mantra of “don’t be evil mantra”: “It’s bullshit.”
It’s beginning to look like 2010 could end up being a war of the giants in the technology industry.

It would be in everyone’s interest if apple got the crap kicked out of them by adobe and google combined. They are in desperate need of being taken down a notch or two.

Amazing how Apple is concerned with everyone but the customer! I personally would love to see support for the universally accepted pieces and parts. Adobe flash technology being one of them.
