Chile Earthquake shifted the Earth off its axis
If the world feels a bit different to you lately, it’s because we actually shifted our orbit a bit just recently.
While the Chile Earthquake was devastating to the residents of the country, it has now been revealed that it impacted the whole Earth … literally. It appears that the 8.8 on the Richter scale quake shifted the entire Earth by 3 inches off its axis. While not a huge amount, when you consider the size of the entire planet, it is quite a bit.
Due to this shift, each day is now 1.26 microseconds shorter.
Is you can see, no end of the world calamities have befallen the planet as of yet as Hollywood movies have led us to believe would happen, but is still odd knowing that it happened. Hopefully there won’t be any more shifts for a good long time.

But is the “shift” enough to make us feel any difference? I mean, is it strong enough to make us identify that something changed because per other explanation, yes it did the day shorter but it will still take forever before you might realize it.., by that time all us are gone already.

Interesting….I wonder whether the earthquake that caused the Indian Ocean tsunami on Dec 26 2004 also caused a shift in the Earth’s axis. Given that it was 9.3 in magnitude, it was much bigger than the Chile quake.

It has been obvious we have damaged the earth in numerous ways, how does the shifting of the axis affect animals, also all the natural disasters that are occurring around the planet, what caused the birds to fall dead from the sky and the fish to die and why did it only happen where it did and no where else, some may consider us dumb americans and the government would not want to cause world wide panic by being completely honest with us but I’m sure as many of us would like to know all of these things aren’t just accidents, there must be a price to pay for our destruction and what is it going to be, and will anyone tell us when it is happening, just curious

also, we’ve been pretty content in sucking all the oil from the planet, does the oil play a certain role in the planet, it must be there for a reason, is it possible to depleat the whole planet of oil eventually, and then what, I have many questions and wouldn’t mind getting answers from someone who actually has scientific data instead of hear say at a checker tournament or something, I’m not dumb enough to believe the birds and fish died recently from fireworks, that’s just ridiculous, does anyone know the real reason they suddenly died?

Tawny- It may have something to do with gas released from the earths crust near an active valcano even beneath the ocean. Just hear say though.
