Rumor: Microsoft's Project Pink phones to arrive in AprilIt seems that the long-rumored Project Pink phones from Microsoft aren’t quite dead yet, and they might hit store shelves as early as next month.

When Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7 Series last month, the company let it pass without so much as breathing a word about the phones rumored to be codenamed “Project Pink.”  This led some to believe that the phones were a myth, but as of today, Gizmodo has some pretty definitive evidence that they do exist, and will be launching on Verizon next month.

While the only materials Gizmodo has gotten their hands on so far are promotional materials (meaning there are no technical specs listed), it looks like there will be two different models of phones.  As no operating system is named, and the specs aren’t listed, anything else is speculation, but it appears this may be a line of phone directed solely at social networking.  Of course, that may just be the influence of the ad headline “Make Your Network More Social.”

Everything points to an April release on Verizon, so stay tuned for more details soon.
