Ellen DeGeneres feels the wrath of Apple over iPhone parody
Apparently Apple has no sense of humor about its products as was demonstrated when the company took issue with a parody video comedian Ellen DeGeneres did on her talk show on Monday.
During Monday’s episode of Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, Ms. DeGeneres did a parody video showing her having issues with sending a text to her wife on an iPhone. Everything about the fake commercial is done to parody aspects of Apple, and it ends with her asking for someone to help with sending the text message.
Ms. DeGeneres has made troubles with technology a part of her act for years, but apparently the folks over at Apple didn’t find it quite so amusing. Ms. DeGeneres’ other job is as one of the judges on American Idol, which happens to count both Apple and AT&T, the exclusive carrier for the iPhone, as sponsors. While it isn’t clear what threats were made against the talent show, or the host herself, on Tuesday’s episode she had to make an apology.
Apparently Steve Jobs, and Apple as a whole, have no sense of humor.

I love the fact that, during her apology, she shows the offending video again! Good on ya, Ellen! Steve Jobs, Mr. MacIntosh, et al, need to develop a sense of humor because to me it didn’t look like it was bashing the iPhone, but the particular user. Plus, I agree, texting on the iPhone is kinda hard…

C’mon Mr.Macintosh, don’t be so sensitive. It’s only a joke, you guys should have confidence in your product considering everyone’s trying to copy everything you guys release. I think the whole sparring match between them Adobe and Google has them on pins and needles.
