Google Chrome Beta 6 overview
Google recently unveiled its latest iteration of Chrome by releasing the beta for version 6. The new version packs a bunch of new features and add-ons that should make you want to turn a blind eye to other browsers.
One of the significant improvements made to Beta 6 is its speed enhancement. According to the official Chrome blog [via PC World], Beta 6 improves performance by 15 percent over the previous version. The blog post also indicated that Beta 6 improved by 64 percent on Mozilla’s Dromeao DOM Core Tests.
In addition to the performance enhancements, Beta 6 packs some new nifty features. The outstanding autofill functionality has been further tweaked and improved. Google also introduces advanced syncing capabilities that will keep your browser experience persistent across computers.
User’s preferences, autofill data, themes and extensions will be stored on cloud servers to be synced on any computer. Chrome also goes under the knife for a modest cosmetic facelift.
