In a rush for partnerships, Netflix has struck a deal with TiVo to expand its streaming movie and television content to TiVo DVR users. Streaming Netflix should be available on HD XL, TiVo HD, and all Series3 DVRs by the end of the year.

Yahoo’s recently purchased Right Media seems to be allowing deceptive ads to publishers using the inventory. Whether they’re graphic ads depicting Windows errors, or “free offer” ads that are misconceiving, Yahoo seems to be looking the other way.

Cox has committed to adding wireless service from Sprint to its bundled packages starting in 2009. Beyond that, the company plans to build its own 4G LTE-based wireless network with its share of the wireless spectrum in the near future.

BMW has launched a test of some 500 all-electric Mini Coopers in three US states that will be available to select private and corporate customers in California, New York and New Jersey. Dubbed the Mini Cooper “E,” it will first debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
