The Kenguru is a small neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV) that has been modified so that people in wheelchairs can easily enter and drive it. It’s top speed is 25 mph and it will go 60 miles on a charge. It won’t challenge a Tesla Roadster but it will provide independence for a lot of people who have had to rely on others.

My family must be one of the few families in Australia that does not have a GPS in in our car. I suspect this is because I’m an old fogey and we don’t tend to stray too far from the nest. However, when given the chance to review a Navman MY85XLT GPS, I was interested in finding out what the fuss was about. Here’s the really funny thing: while I struggled with the touchscreen, my five-year-old daughter had it working within minutes. I like to think that’s because my daughter uses iPads at school, and no, she does not drive.

Toyota will be expanding the Prius line to include an updated Prius 3rd generation also known as the Prius Liftback, a new Prius v with more cargo space, a Prius PHEV (plug-in electric vehicle), and the Prius c “city friendly” vehicle. All of them will get great gas mileage but all of them have their own niches.

In the lead up to New Year’s Eve, AT&T is releasing a ten minute video that follows the lives of eight people that were forever altered by texting. AT&T wants people to understand that texting and driving is as bad as drinking and driving. Both can be deadly.
