Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice

SurveyUSA recently did a poll about reproductive rights. The results are surprising. Only 15 states are pro-life, while the others are pro-choice.

Some of these numbers truly surprised me. Most notably, the “swing” state of Missouri favors pro-life while the staunchly Republican Kansas falls into the pro-choice camp. This is certainly significant to say the least, and I suppose it shows how certain issues divide people.

Personally, I think a woman should have the right to choose what she does with her body. If the government holds sway over those choices, I think the consequences would be disastorous. And I concede that abortion is an unfortunate solution, but ultimately necessary if men and women are truly going to have equal rights.

However, that stance doesn’t make these numbers any less interesting.

Consider them and decide for yourself.
