Rasmussen: Obama Leads By 6, 6

With leaners
Obama – 49%
McCain – 43%

Without leaners
Obama – 46%
McCain – 40%

McCain lost one since yesterday so it appears as if Obama’s overseas bounce continues to cause trouble for the Arizona senator.

Rasmussen lends some historical perspective to the idea of Obama flirting with 50%…

Over the coming week, it will be interesting to see if the bounce continues. It is possible that Obama could open an even bigger lead and move above the 50% level of support. That would be significant both in the context of this campaign and historically. Since Abraham Lincoln was elected as the first Republican President in 1860, the only Democrats to win the White House with a majority of the popular vote have been Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Jimmy Carter.
