More evidence of a convention bump for Obama today, but will McCain’s supposedly unconventional Veep pick capture the imagination of swing voters and former, disgruntled Hillary voters?

And concerning Sarah Palin…Rasmussen reveals that nearly 7 in 10 voters don’t even really know her…

In the days Obama named his running mate, Rasmussen Markets data showed Biden to be the clear favorite. There has been no clear favorite to be McCain’s running mate, but Sarah Palin, Tim Pawlenty, and Mitt Romney have each topped the list in the last twelve hours. Palin is now seen by the markets as the most likely prospect. Polling data shows that 67% of American voters have no opinion of the Alaska Governor.

It’s a ballsy move by McCain, but I have my doubts if it’ll have the effect he was hoping for. Because with Palin, he picks a Veep candidate with is younger than and has less experience than Obama.
