By the way, concerning that live speech, I think they could have done without. It really didn’t add anything.
7:29 PM. That was very good, although I actually think they could have done without the live bit at the end.
In any event, the overall message was effective because real people told real stories about real problems. And then Obama talked about how it would solve those problems. Pretty simple equation, but having 30 minutes to do it really helps.
To be honest, if Obama fills the last few days of his ad buys with 4 minutes snippets from this, I think it would start to deliver some really huge dividends.
