If you’ve ever been to Chicago between May and September, you know that there are plenty of piping hot days to spend loafing about the Windy City. But where should you go for some fun in the sun?

Chicago boasts 26 miles of open lakefront off of Lake Michigan, where you can walk, run, rollerblade, bike and–most importantly during the summer season–swim!

Chicago’s 2009 Beach Season has officially begun and runs until Monday, September 7. Check out this list of beaches! Lifeguards are on duty from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.
