Happy Father’s Day, everyone! You’ve probably already celebrated by giving your dad something special—and unless it was breakfast in bed, chances are it was, well, an object. (Don’t worry, I’m going somewhere with this.) “Objectified” is a documentary about—you guessed it—manufactured objects, and the relationship we consumers have with them. Perfect for those of us who just celebrated a pretty consumer-friendly holiday.

“Objectified” already played in the Bay Area, but in case you missed it, you can catch the doc this week at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. It starts Wednesday and runs through this weekend, so you have ample opportunities to catch it, if your schedule is as Frameline-heavy as mine (more on that below). Tickets are $10.

Speaking of Frameline, have you gone yet? Last night I saw “Dare” and “Drool”; both were excellent, and it was a pleasure getting to hear from the directors, writers, and cast. Seriously, do go see some of the movies—you won’t regret it.

Also, can we talk about how awesome the “Objectified” poster is? It’s worth seeing just for that!
