Paul McCartney, who is giving the first concerts at Citi Field ( the replacement for Shea Stadium) on July 17th and 18th, is probably the most famous musician alive. Less famous is his opening act for the Citi Field concerts, The Script, though they are getting there.
The Script are an Irish trio whose debut album, entitled simply “The Script” and showcasing a sound that fuses rock, pop, Celtic, soul music, was number one in the UK. After opening for Paul McCartney, they will open for U2 later in the month.
The Script is Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan, and Glen Power

Update: For those unable (or unwilling) to score tickets to the McCartney concerts, The Script is (are?) giving a concert on their own at Webster Hall on August 13th. Click here for more about The Script, including sample lyrics, links to a couple of their videos, and an odd anecdote involving The Beatles.
