They Might Be Giants, Los Straitjackets, Pete Yorn and more are set to play WXPN's XPoNential Music Festival 2009
Each year WXPN prides itself in exposing it’s members and fans to the best music possible, and it always takes it up a notch with the live shows that it puts on. But that notch is especially unprecedented whenever they host there annual XPoNential Fest at Wiggins Park along the Camden Waterfront. But this year WXPN might have outdone themselves with what could very well be the fests best lineup to date!
It all starts on Friday July 24th when Annuals, Matt Duke, and Los Straitjackets are all set to headline the Camden County River Stage. But they will also be joined by Farewell Flight, Good Old War, John Forte and a whole host of locals who will be rocking the Jerseyarts.com Marina Stage. Saturday July 25th will play host to a special round of “Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon” since the Bacon Brothers will be playing the main stage. But since they’ll also be joined by Pete Yorn, The Hold Steady, They Might Be Giants and more it should be a winning lineup. and that lineup will carry over to the 2nd stage since it’s set to be filled with such local acts as East Hundred, Illinois, The Peace Creeps, and Hoots & Hellmouth. The fest wraps up on Sunday July 26th when the main stage plays host to Peter, Bjorn & John, Aimee Mann, Guster, and more; while the 2nd stage hooks up Gillian Grassie, Like A Fox, and many others. Each day will also have a special Kid’s Corner Stage that will provide fun for the whole family.
3 day passes are regularly priced at $40 for WXPN Members, and $60 for the general public. But if you act now through July 10th you can take advantage of the early day special and pick up 3 day passes for just $30 if your a member (and $40 if you aren’t).
