I have left my beloved Bay Area in order to attend Comic-Con in San Diego. I know, I know, I’d be jealous, too. But by being here I’m missing out on all sorts of fun stuff this weekend. Oh well—we all have to make sacrifices, right?

If you’re a fan of “The Big Lebowski,” you can attend your own mini-convention when Lebowski Fest returns to the Bay Area. What is Lebowski Fest? Glad you asked! Tomorrow night is the San Francisco Bowling Party … which is actually in Daly City. Nevertheless, you can look forward to bowling (shoe rental is included), White Russians (naturally), and a special appearance by James Hoosier, who played Liam in the film.

On Saturday night, you can head to Oakland’s Fox Theater for the San Francisco Movie Party. (Note that Oakland is also not San Francisco, but what can you do?) Jim Hoosier will be back—the man loves a good Lebowski party—and you can catch a performance by Har Mar followed by a screening of the movie. Because, really, you haven’t seen it enough already.

Tomorrow night’s event begins at 8 p.m. at Classic Bowl. Tickets are $28 in advance and $32 at the door. Saturday’s party is at 7:30, and tickets will run you $22.50. Check the official website for more details.
