What’s not to love about a website that tells you where to find wine and beer tasting events in your area? That’s exactly what LocalWineEvents.com does, and I for one am grateful to know about opportunities like a champagne tasting, Bubbles and Bites, in Kirkland on August 6, the many different Bon Vivant Wine Tours and especially about Fremont Outdoor Movies playing Bottleshock on August 16 in conjunction with a wine tasting event hosted by the Small-Lot Wine Co-op.
In addition to information about tasting events, the website is a good resource for local food events, articles and education, wine blogs, festivals and more.
Of course, most of the events are submitted by the people promoting them, which means that you won’t find absolutely everything that’s going on in Seattle and surrounding areas.
For example, on Thursday, August 6, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, you can attend a Beer Tasting at the Edmonds PCC where, for just $5, you can sample eight beers and learn more about the worthy beverage. Contact email@example.com for more information. The Edmonds location also has frequent wine tasting events.
Local wine merchants and breweries hold their own tastings which are sometimes free. You should make it a point to check with your local merchant or favorite store. The Pike & Western Wine Shop in the Pike Place Market offers free tastings of new arrivals on Fridays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and on Wednesdays, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm they offer a special in store tasting of limited production wines for just $5.
Of course all the wineries have tasting rooms, as you know, as do many breweries in the area. Check out the tasting room at Big Al Brewing in White Center, among others
