An Afternoon with Dr. Jane Goodall in Seattle at Theo Chocolate

0

Dr. Jane Goodall is the science equivalent of a rockstar. And not just any rockstar, but a classic rocker who has not only been around since the 60’s but still puts out new albums and just gets better with age. So it was with considerable enthusiasm (the kind that involves shrieks and jumping up and down) that I read my email from Theo Chocolate this morning that announced an upcoming appearance by Dr. Goodall:

Yes, I copied the email, word for word – there just wasn’t a better way to say it, and publicity is good, right? Put my lack of creativity down to stunned joy at the thought of seeing my childhood hero in person, at my absolute favorite chocolate shop, no less. Theo’s organic, fair trade and delicious chocolate paired with Dr. Jane Goodall? What’s not to love?

“This new book brings us inspiration about the future of the animal kingdom, if we act now, sharing stories of species around the world that have been rescued from extinction and whose habitats are being protected and/or restored. Dr. Goodall is a UN messenger of peace and the founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, a global nonprofit that empowers individuals to take informed and passionate action on behalf of all living things. We hope you will join us for this rare opportunity to see the extraordinary Dr. Goodall share her experiences and insights and learn about the work of her Institute, a Theo Chocolate partner.”
