Muse opening for U2 on U.S. tour at Giants Stadium, Atlanta, Texas, etc.

The British rock band Muse is coming out with a new album, their seventh, The Resistance on September 15th in the United States , and will open for U2 at Giants Stadium on September 24th and September 25th — concerts that are sold out already! But fear not, massive U2 or Muse fans. They will be playing elsewhere in the U.S. for several more weeks.

Who is Muse? “We’re the biggest band America doesn’t know anything about,” drummer Dominic Howard told Spin Magazine, which put them on its cover this month, with the tag line: “Muse: Under the radar. Over the top….From the bombastic songs to the stadium crowds, everything about Muse is supermassive. Will their new album finally bring America to its knees?”

Matthew Bellamy, Dominic Howard, Chris Wolstenholme are a trio from tiny Teignmouth, England who recorded their first album in 1998, when Howard and guitarist-singer Bellamy were 20 years old, and bassist Wolstenholme was 19.

Here is the schedule of U2/Muse concerts in the U.S. after Giants Stadium.

September 29 — FedexField, Landover, Maryland
Oct 1 — Scott Stadium, Charlottesville, Virginia
Oct 3 — Carter-Finley Stadium, Raleigh, North Carolina

The lyrics to Knights of Cydonia, the song that is on You Tube video above, are:

Come ride with me
Through the veins of history
I’ll show you a god who falls asleep on the job
How can we win, when fools can be kings?
Don’t waste your time or time will waste you

No one’s gonna take me alive
The time has come to make things right
You and I must fight for our rights
You and I must fight to survive

No one’s gonna take me alive
The time has come to make things right
You and I must fight for our rights
You and I must fight to survive

No one’s gonna take me alive
The time has come to make things right
You and I must fight for our rights
You and I must fight to survive
