Solano Stroll Street Festival Offers All-Ages Fun
I’ve come to the realization that some of this blog’s readers might actually be interested in family-friendly entertainment. You know, stuff that’s not vulgar comedy, heavy drama, or an erotic film festival. Well, you’re in luck, because the annual Solano Stroll street festival will return to Berkeley and Albany next Sunday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Travel over the newly revamped Bay Bridge (!) and check out a 27-block long party, the East Bay’s largest street festival. The event is FREE (caps for emphasis), though of course there’s plenty to buy. According to the website, there will be over 500 hundred vendors, which is really kind of a lot. The day begins with a parade and continues with food, live music, arts and crafts, and more—enough diversity to please even the most stubborn families.
For convenient transportation opportunities, you can head to that section of the website. Shuttles and buses and valet—oh my!
