Terror Film Festival is a bad-azz, blood chilling, alien probing international genre arts film festival, founded for the purpose of offering filmmakers, screenwriters and movie lovers more. TFF is a new breed of film festival and is run like no other film festival in the world, because it’s designed to help promote YOU, the creative artist. The festival runs every October in Philadelphia and we offer cash prizes, a world-class Screenwriting Competition, and the coveted Claw Awards. Prizes, exposure, awards, fun, and some of the best parties on the planet. And it’s all presented by the genre diva fashionista herself, Princess Horror!

For our SCREENWRITERS, we offer awards and prizes for the sake of great writing to help support your writing talent and career. Terror Film Festival is located in the heart of Philadelphia PA at the prestigious Ethical Society Building at Rittenhouse Square. Philadelphia is a great place for filmmaking and filmmakers and each neighborhood contains a wealth of incredible shooting possibilities. And thanks to our amazing Greater Philadelphia Film Office, Philadelphia has a tremendous filmmaking history, rich with film and television production, such as, The “Rocky” movie series, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Cold Case, The Colbert Report, Invincible, National Treasure, The Sixth Sense, The Italian Job, Marley & Me, 12 Monkeys…and the list goes on and on. Over the years, over 250 major productions (and even more indies) have graced the streets of Philly, and Terror Film Festival is right in the middle of it all.
Terror Film Festival is all about horror, fantasy, sci-fi, thriller, drama and screenplay. Our call for entries for this worldwide film festival is focused on getting as many filmmakers and screenwriters involved with the festival as possible to help promote them and their careers. And as one of the premiere horror film festivals celebrating independent film, TFF is a halloween event that brings the best films to the audience. That’s what we think being a horror film festival is all about.

Scare Zone: Through dank, narrow hallways, a frantic young lady runs screaming for her life, as she stumbles away from the knife-wielding maniac in a grinning, garish mask. But it’s all just a dress rehearsal for the grand opening of the local haunted house attraction. Or is it? Starring Neil Brown, Jr. (The Fast and The Furious, South Beach). From A Place of Darkness: A documentary filmmaker interviews the “king of snuff films” only to realize that he has entered the depths of darkness within his own soul and has exposed those he loves to an evil entity. Starring John Savage (The Deer Hunter, The Godfather, Summer of Sam), Bronson Pinchot (The Langoliers, Beverly Hills Cop, True Romance), Travis Schuldt (Scrubs, The Hitcher), and Valery M. Murder Loves Killers Too: When a repressed killer is looking to blow off a little steam and satisfy his perverse sexual desires, he crashes the party of a group of young free spirits on a care-free summer vacation. Jack Rio: A serial killer in 1950’s Hollywood lands a starring role on a hit TV show. But as the ratings climb, so does the body count.
