In the Santa Monica Pier’s Drive-in Movie series, the last one this Friday, October 2 brings the 1986 classic flic to the screen. It’s a free event, and you can bring ‘chairs, blankets and kids’ to the event, but remember no alcohol.  Go online to check out all the info (like, for example, you need tics – they are free – but you gotta go get them at specific spots.)

Admission starts at 7pm and the movie begins after dusk, so get your Ferris on outdoors, and enjoy one of Hughes’ greatest flicks!

Oh, and if you arrive early enough and head to the Verizon tent (sponsors), they will give you free bottled water and popcorn.

Now this is a recession proof night out that anyone can get behind!
