We’re big fans of Mortified here at CultureMob. Well, OK, I’m a big fan of Mortified—I probably shouldn’t speak for all my fellow bloggers. But you can trust me, right? For those not in the know, Mortified puts on shows across the country in which amateur performers and seasoned professionals alike perform embarrassing material from their adolescence. Emo journal entries, bad poetry, derivative songs—it’s all fair game, and it’s all delightful.

This weekend Mortified returns to San Francisco for the annual AngstGiving show. For two nights, you can celebrate the gift that keeps on giving: awkwardness. Now I believe the proceeds for AngstGiving go to a good cause, but to be quite honest, I can’t find anything confirming that on the Mortified website. At the very least, your purchase of a ticket will go to the cause of making you laugh, which is worthwhile in and of itself! (Seriously, though, are we helping children in need here? I’ll update as soon as I know for sure.)

The shows are Friday and Saturday night at the Make-Out Room. Both start at 8 p.m., and you can purchase tickets on the Mortified website.
