New Years 2010.. What to do L.A.?

It’s not exactly the 2000 changeover, but it is the beginning of a new decade and as such deserves some aplomb.  If you aren’t going to travel to far off locales, then there are plenty of things you can do here in L.A. to ring in the New Year and New Decade with fun..or style..or nature, whichever you prefer.

If you want a club style/Ibiza in LA experience head to the LA Sports Arena for Together as One, featuring DJ’s David Guetta, Markus Schulz and John Digweed.  There will be tons of people if the looks of last year is any indication, so check out their website.

If that space isn’t your scene but you do want a club thing, the following bar/clubs are hosting NYE parties so check out their websites for information: Les Deux, Boulevard3, Geisha House, Cinespace, LAX, Cabana Club, h.wood. Tons of other places are hosting parties, some requiring tickets, so do call ahead and plan. It’s not like you don’t know it’s coming up.

For those of you that want a more mellow and snowy beginning to the New Year, you can head out of the city for an escape to the mountains of Mammoth Mountain or Big Bear, which are having deals on hotel/lift packages.

The Queen Mary will host a fireworks show off the boat at midnight, giving a great view of the city and at a fun party, too.

If anything stupendous and/or out of the ordinary comes up L.A., I will be sure to advise…
