Another work of theater set in Memphis (besides Memphis the musical) will be coming to New York starting on Friday, January 15, the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. â€œThe Man in Room 306â€ a one-man show written and performed by Craig Alan Edwards, is a fictional account of Dr. King’s last night alive, April 3, 1968 in Memphis. It will be presented for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 14 at 59E59 Theater. The performance on Saturday, January 16 at 8:15 PM is a benefit for the
National Civil Rights Museum located at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, the site of King’s assassination.
