WWE Smackdown and ECW to be filmed live in Seattle in March
WWE’s No Way Out pay-per-view came to town earlier this year, and Raw made an appearance last year, but it’s been two years since Smackdown/ECW has been in Seattle and anticipation is growing.
On March 9, 2010, Smackdown/ECW will film a live TV event at Key Arena and tickets go on sale Saturday, December 19th. Because tickets sell out quickly to WWE events you might want to get in on the presale that runs from 9 am Thursday, December 17th to midnight Friday, December 18th. Click this link and use the code: UNDERTAKER. Tickets run from $20 to $70.
Some of the biggest wrestling superstars will be featured, including Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Batista, Rey Mysterio and Christian. Also in the anticipated lineup are CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Kane, Matt Hardy, John Morrison, The Great Khali, Finlay, Tommy Dreamer, Michelle McCool and Mickie James.
No mention has been yet made of anything special for the people attending the live event in Key Arena, but when Raw came to town two years ago, a special tag team match that was not televised was held between Batista and Rey Mysterio versus Chris Jericho and Kane. There’s no guarantee they’ll do anything like that with this event, but it’s worth mentioning. And hoping for.
Update: By now you probably know that the show is just Smackdown. ECW came to an end in February. But don’t worry, the quality of the event won’t suffer in the least and if your tickets are printed with Smackdown/ECW you might want to save them as historical oddities.
