It’s a Male Order Murder for the Langley Mystery Weekend 2010
A murder is going to take place in Langley and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it.
Fortunately, you can help catch the dastardly culprit during the Mystery Weekend in Langley.
“Forget computer profiles and video dating, bachelors in the little town of Langley on Whidbey Island have decided that old fashioned love letters are the best way to find the right girl. That is until the leader of these eager pen pals is found outside the post office with a letter opener in his heart. Was it one of the blushing brides, a disappointed suitor, or a P.I.A. agent who did him in? The “Moose” and the “Squirrel” aren’t talking but maybe you can help solve the latest February murder to hit this usually peaceful little town.”
Every year in February there is “a murder most grand” in Langley, and people come from all over the state, and even other states, to help solve the mystery. Not many towns are willing to put someone out of commission permanently for the entertainment of their guests, but Langley steps right up.
You can step right up in your gumshoes to the Langley Visitor Center on Saturday, February 27 at 10 am to pay your entrance fee of $10 (only $25 for groups of four people) and pick up a copy of the Langley Gazette, which is loaded with clues and a map of the town. At 1 pm on Saturday at City Hall, the coroner will deliver his report. At 4:30 pm on Sunday the murderer will be outed, so you have that long to solve the crime. There will be prizes.
Langley is located on Whidbey Island. You can get there by ferry. At this point you might have a hard time finding a hotel room on the island, as Mystery Weekend books up early, but it’s not impossible to just play on Sunday, or drive to the island both days. You can also consider camping in one of the many state parks on the island.
