Mamet’s Race reaches 100 today

Race, the longest lasting play of this Broadway season, will play its 100th performance today at 8 p.m. Written and directed by David Mamet, it stars James Spader, David Alan Grier, Kerry Washington and Richard Thomas.
It has lasted longer than any other play this season.

“Race” made its world premiere at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (located at 243 West 47th St.). The show began performances on Monday, November 16, 2009 and officially opened on Sunday, December 6, 2009.
