Signed to Slip-n-Slide Records, from 2007 to 2008 he released three albums. Plies debuted in 2007 with The Real Testament with the chart-topping singles “Shawty” and “Hypnotized”. Plies also recorded two bestselling albums in 2008, Definition of Real and Da REAList and plans to released Goon Affiliated in 2010.
Sean Paul had originally been listed as a scheduled artist, but now Plies, Roscoe Dash, New Boyz, Yo Gotti and B.O.B are among the announced artists for Wild Splash 2010, sponsored by Wild-94.1. The annual hip hop show is being held on March 20 at Clearwater’s Coachman Park this year, where it had been held until it moved to Ford Amphitheater in 2008.
Damian Marley won Best Reggae Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance for Welcome to Jamrock at the 2006 Grammy Award. He is the only Jamaican reggae artist in history to win two Grammy Awards on the same night.
The Tampa-Orlando combo Javon Black and Lil Kee are also going to perform.
