Steel  Magnolia, the winner of CMT’s Can You Duet? proves that they can indeed can duet! With their first single, Keep On Loving You, the duo has made history. This single has become the highest charting debut single from a male/female duet in the entire history of Billboard Top Country Songs Chart. Steel Magnolia, comprised of Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones, have watched their single rise to number #12 the week ending March 27th.
The lovely duo have received two nods from the American Country Music Awards for both Vocal Duo of the Year and also Top New Vocal Duo.
Also on the horizon for this hot new duo is the thrill of a lifetime. The pair will be included in Brad Paisley’s upcoming H2O concert series. Paisley’s tour kicks off on May 22nd.
Signed under Big Machine Records, Steel Magnolia seem to have it all, great chemistry, a great sound and a great foundation for a lasting career. With Brooks and Dunn retiring, Sugar Land seemed to be a guarantee in the Duo department, but I think that Steel Magnolia will be running laps around the popular duo soon enough.
Tune in May 18th on CBS to find out the results for this year’s awards show.
