For those of you who can’t wait until Labor Day Weekend to celebrate Bumbershoot, you can head to Seattle’s new Hard Rock Cafe this coming Wednesday, June 2nd for an early opportunity to rub elbows with members of Seattle’s music community.  Dubbed “Bumbershoot’s 40 Ways Kick-Off Party”, the event is open to the public and starts at 8pm.  Not only will attendees enjoy food and drink specials, but they’ll also get a sneak peek at at least one 2010 performer when Seattle’s own BOAT graces everyone with their self described ‘sloppy pop’.  Those of you who do the Facebook thing can view the public invite here.

In related news, Bumbershoot organizers announced in April a new ticketing strategy for those of you who either: 1.  Want to guarantee access to the Mainstage shows without standing in the dreaded bracelet line,  or 2.  Want to steer clear of the Mainstage madness.  You can read all about those new options here.  Single day tickets aren’t available for purchase quite yet, but if you’re feeling like a VIP, you can now purchase either Gold or Platinum ticket packages.

Whatever your ticketing preference, Bumbershoot is sure to be a fun (and hopefully sun) filled weekend of art and music.
