Philly Improv Theater

Get down to the The Shubin this Friday, June 11th for an awesome 1-2 combo of comedic heavyweights!  PHIT house teams King Friday and Fletcher are performing two great improv sets starting at 9:30pm.  King Friday is a group of Philly improv all-stars who got their start at at the 2009 Philadelphia Fringe Festival performing Del Close’s legendary form 3 Mad Rituals.  The show was such a success that King Friday was made an official PHIT house team.  Their shows are fast-paced and filled with hilarious characters and tons of laughs.  Fletcher is an original PHIT house team that is composed of the most talented improvisers the city has to offer.  Fletcher recently opened for the hit New York duo Adsit and Gausas at the Adrienne Theater and they brought the house down.  They are a group of fearless and smart performers who are guaranteed to put on a fantastic show.  Both these groups also got some exciting news recently: they will be representing Philadelphia at the 12th Annual Del Close Marathon hosted by the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City!  If you enjoy them this Friday, consider making the trip to this legendary improv festival.

The Shubin Theater is located at 407 Bainbridge Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147.  Tickets for this show are available at the door and are only $10!  What a steal!  Street parking in the area can be sparse but there is a lot just a few doors west of the theater.  Get out there and support PHIT comedy!
