This Saturday, July 10th, head to beautiful Ballard for their 2nd Saturday Art Walk. ConsiderÂ using public transportation for ease of getting around, since parking is always tricky.Â Â
This weekend is alsoÂ the 36th AnnualÂ Ballard Seafood Fest (Sat July 10th and Sun July 11th), so expect good crowds, amazing food and a lively time.Â There are some great art shows going on,Â here are a fewÂ highlights: VAIN, located at 5401 Ballard Ave NE,Â will beÂ featuring steampunkÂ jewelry by Seattle-based designerÂ London Particulars, along with a live musical performance at 8PMÂ by garage/folk musicianÂ Shelby Earl. Velouria will have new paintings and printsÂ by Jane Austen-inspired artist Brigida Swanson.
Don’t forget to swing by CoCAto see Leah Schrager’sÂ show “Pretty Whatever”Â (photo-poetry works called phoems), on view through August. 7th.
