Family Fun at the Colorado Renaissance Festival

0

Have you or your children ever wished to live in the times of knights, pirates, or princesses?  If so, you will definitely want to check out the Colorado Renaissance Festival  (30 minutes south of Denver in town of Larkspur).

My family hasn’t been for a few years and we were curious to see what had changed.  All of us were very impressed at the new acts, including carillon bells , and the retention of old ones like the ever favorite jousting  events.  Young families will enjoy the petting zoo, pony rides, or something a little more exotic like camel and elephant rides.  Older children will enjoy the many comedy acts, medieval carnival rides, as well as the ever-insulting Vegetable Vengeance “Tomato Man”.  You can even rent costumes so you and your family can become part of Renaissance culture!

Info You Need to Know

Open on the weekends starting the beginning of June and going until the 1st of August, 2010, Colorado’s Renaissance Festival offers a full day of entertainment at family friendly prices.  Adult tickets are $18.95, children tickets are $8.00, and children under 5 attend for FREE. * For further savings you can order online or go to any King Soopers store to get a great discount of 3 dollars off adult tickets and 1 dollar off children tickets.  The park is open each weekend from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm (rain or shine), with free parking included.

The Colorado Renaissance Festival will be open every weekend until August 1st.  If you have never tried it, or if like us you haven’t been for a while, I personally recommend spending a day there with your family.  It will be an experience you won’t forget, and one you will talk about again and again until you return next year.  Huzzah!
