Adding yet more credence to the axiom that all rumors in metal end up being true, it was announced early Monday morning that Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax will all be touring this fall together, as the second leg of the “American Carnage” tour. We’re just one band away from that elusive “Big Four” tour. Come on, Metallica! Get with the program! Do you not like money, or something?
Blabbersnout first revealed the rumors back on July 6, and now, it’s official: the 1991 “Clash of the Titans” lineup will be hitting the road together again, sans Alice In Chains. Obviously, this is exciting for metalheads. I just worry the tickets will be too expensive. There will be a limited number of $10 tickets for sale in certain cities, according to a press release issued this morning.
The tour launches September 24 in Dallas, Texas, and makes 20 stops before wrapping October 21 in Los Angeles. Megadeth will continue to play its 1990 LP Rust In Peace in its entirety, with Slater doing the same for 1990s’ Seasons in the Abyss.
