If you’re looking for a low-cost educational event in South Jersey, check out the Cold Spring Village Folk Festival while you’re down the shore. The festival takes place in Cape May’s historical village featuring over 26 historic buildings. Singer-songwriter Ian Thomas headlines the event with a live folk music performance.

The festival is also a great place for bluegrass with additional performers such as the Snake Brothers.

The festival focuses on American folk life traditions with multiple crafts and demonstrations. Guests can learn about traditional arts such as blacksmithing and basketweaving.

Guests are welcome to bring pets to the festival, but smoking and picnicking are prohibited.

Ticket prices: $8.00 for adults; $7.00 for seniors; $6.00 for children; free for kids under three years of age.
