Exciting Youth Program

In addition, organizers have included the Youth Day and Mentoring Program  .  This is a fantastic program for the youth of Colorado. On August 21, VSMF will bring together children from Vail and metro Denver for a day of gondola rides, workshops, musical performances, and conversations with established and emerging musicians.  Lee England Jr.  is one of the artists working with the children at this event. (I love this guy!)  Be assured that the workshops and performances will focus on age-appropriate soul music. The VSMF Youth Day & Mentoring Program provides all meals for the day, and round-trip transportation to Vail based on availability of slots.

An Exclusive for Culturemob Parents!

Rhonda Jackson, president of Legacy Entertainment, has opened up 5 slots for Culturemob readers, with an extended application deadline for the Youth Day and Mentoring Program of July 30th.  If your child has an interest in music and is in 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade for the September 2010 school year, your child has the amazing opportunity to spend a day dedicated to music and fun in Vail.

*Children must fill out the application and submit a written essay explaining their interest in the program. Typed essays are preferred, but handwritten essays are also accepted as long as they are readable. Selection will be based on essay quality, interest in music, and need.

Rhonda Jackson said, “The goals of Youth Day are fun, inclusion, and an increased appreciation for music and diversity.”
